Loom

Loom is a Lucasarts text/point and click adventure game that was released in 1991. I got Loom when it came out. I was five years old. Yes Rob, you are an old man. It came with this really nice manual that had spaces for you to write notes in and stuff. A few years ago I downloaded the game and some emulators and replayed it. It really held up. The story and the way it is told is great. The gameplay is unique and requires some thought. I highly recommend this game if you have five dollars and some time to waste. Careful, it requires 2 MB of video RAM.

  1. that inspired me to download "Quest for Glory IV: Shadows of Darkness" again

I never finished it as a child and it's haunted me forever. I had not been able to find a copy that worked until today. Found it here, http://oldgames.sk/en/

I am the happiest man alive and will play the entire quest for glory series now.

  2. I'm so happy Lucas Arts is on Steam again. If I buy Battlefront II, who will play with me?

  3. I was just looking at that too Nader. Hoping that they'll allow some of the other Star Wars games on Steam too (KotoR, etc...)

  4. Pretty sure I read that all of Lucas Arts back catalog for PC will be on there eventually. So, that means KotOR, and hopefully The Old Republic. Battlefront II was really fucking fun when I used to play it years ago. I absolutely loved that game. Hopefully the first Rogue Squadron makes it onto there soon, because that game was awesome as well.

  6. Yes! The first Rogue Squadron was fun. I never played the x-wing game (never heard of it actually).
